So, what did they do? They started a legacy – a self-driven networking group that brings together a community of new graduates, young and established professionals. Its formation actually started a bit earlier, when five young library professionals who were frustrated with the lack of opportunities in the industry (and they wanted to drink and socialise). Well, you see– SALIN was officially established in 2001.
From our foundation in 2001 to today we have organised events for our members on career advice, networking, and insights into new technology and facilities.Ĭan you believe that SALIN is turning 20? (or 21, we’re not quite sure…) The South Australian Library and Information Network is a volunteer run group who organise events helping library students and professionals to make connections and expand their knowledge of the industry.
